careless driving in an out of business parking lot????

What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state? Michigan
Now if you are in a parking lot, and also a parking lot of an abandon/closed Kmart, can you be issued a careless driving ticket on private property, seeing it is not a public road?

Yes.

No, it is NOT "abandoned"... closed and/or boarded up or not.

What is the general rule for parking lots? I was under the impression the owners of the property could have you removed for tresspassing, but that traffic laws, including accidents, didn't apply since it was private property regardless of whether or not there was an open business.
