cincinnati speeding ticketWhat is the name of your state? Ohio I was driving near the University of Cincinnati when I was pulled over for going 39 in what is normally a 30, but because of construction was changed to a 25. However, where I pulled on to the street there were no signs stating this. I took pictures and will be fighting this next week. I'm still concerned that I may be cited for being 9 over, I thought that this street was a 35 not a 30. I did a little research on Cincinnati Traffic laws and found the following law. I'm not quite sure how to interpret it? The citation was made at approximately 5:30pm(1730) on a weekday. Will someone please tell me their interpretation and whether or not they think I have a valid case. "Officers will not engage in at rest patrol or stationary observation during the heavy traffic hours of 0600-0900 and 1500-1800 weekdays, other than holidays, except while performing speed enforcement in school zones." (http://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/police/downloads/police_pdf7134.pdf) p.3 Also does anyone know what section the legal height of traffic signs is in located the Ohio Revised? Thanks, Steve |

| The link you provided is a department policy and not "law". Therefore, the officer making the cite MIGHT have been issuing a citation out of policy ... though given the wording, the circumstances may have been sufficient to have permitted him to be within policy. But! Being out of policy would not make the citation invalid. - Carl
