What is the name of your state? CO

I was caught speeding and the officer did not have me sign the ticket. Will the lack of my signature provide me any legal leverage or is my signature not required?

The signature is merely your agreement to attend court in lieu of arrest. By not signing, all that means is they maybe can't hold you responsible for missing the court date, but the trying to get that taken care of based on a lack of signature is NOT worth the effort; just show up for court at the right time.

In Colorado, only citations with mandatory court appearances require signatures. Citations that don't require court appearances do no require a signature.
