Question

Confused about cousin's situation

My cousin and I both reside in Tennessee and her license has been suspended for years and she recently put all of her fines under BK Chapter13, which the tickets were paid, but not the reenstatement which has to be paid outside the plan, so she is still suspended. She said that she was stopped on the interstate a week ago and was cited for speeding, (doing 70 in a 55) and said that she is only required to go before the traffic court clerk to make payment arrangements on the ticket. I'm thinking that she could not be telling the truth, could she?

Fines and court costs are not dischargeable in bankruptcy since they are not debts.

(I am NOT a bankruptcy lawyer so stand by further comments.)
