Disobey green arrow traffic ticket

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York

I made a right turn on 42nd st, 5th ave in manhattan, got pulled over and issued a ticket this past sunday. the officer wrote 1/25/08 on ticket first and then wrote over the 08 to show a darkened 09. Would that dismiss my ticket?

also, where do i find out how many points this cost me?

Of course that doesn't dismiss your ticket.

If you write a check and have to correct the date due to forgetting that it is now 2009, does that mean the person who you paid can sue you because you passed an invalid check?
