What is the name of your state? California

I sent in my driver's license renewal, but have not received my renewal card in the mail yet, and my birthday is tomorrow. Does this mean I can't drive until it comes? If (knock on wood) I get pulled over for something, would the fact my license is in the process of being renewed be in their computers? Or can I get in trouble?

My response:

Call your bank to determine if your renewal check has been cashed. Then, go to your local DMV office and get this straightened out.

If you get stopped, and your license has expired, it will be worse than your worst "hair day" - - imagine getting a hefty ticket. Imagine having your car impounded. Imagine "points" on your driver's record. Imagine paying more for insurance. I think you get the idea.
