Driving with a revoked license

Missouri. March of 2005 - my license was revoked because I received my 2nd DWI. In December 2005, I received a ticket for driving with a revoked license. I went to court for the ticket and the court clerk asked if I had an attorney. I did not. She said I needed an attorney because I was looking at jail time.

The court issued me a continuance on the case. I have been unemployed for a year and I cannot afford an attorney. Should I just go to my next court date alone and face the jail time or do I have any other recourse?

Thank you!
