My son was making a turn from a stop sign. He started & then stopped when he saw a car coming. He then proceeded w/turn. Police stopped him & did not issue a citation, but asked if he had lenses in when seing the corrective lense restriction on license. He said no & did not have his glasses w/him. Is it best to ask for supervision or is there a good chance to beat this?

Lovely state. Rockford was quite cold, though.

{edit}

Oooh, very sneaky editing your post like that. Anyway, it would probably help if we knew WHAT he was trying to "beat".

corrective lenses, part 2

there was no real justification for stopping car. Once stopped, officer asked for license & saw corrective lense restriction. W/O glasses in car, ticket was issued. Did officer have the right to stop car for no reason & thereby, issue ticket?

Yes and yes.

It's not your "right" to drive a car, it's a privilege... If your son can't follow the motor vehicle laws, he has no business operating a vehicle, much less a big wheel...
