Question

i was pulled over in NJ (where i live) and told my license was suspended and that there was a warrant out
for my arrest. i recieved a driving w/suspended license ticket and arrested. I was told it was for not paying
a parking ticket in the town of Red Bank, NJ. after asking about the protocol on these things, they said i should
have recieved notices for like the last 7or 8 months. so i guess my problem is, i never recieved notices because
i never changed my address. i travel alot and don't have a place of my own. so anyhoo, just wondering if i can
fight a Dw/S. L. charge with a plee of no knowlege and would i need a lawyer to aid me?
thanks

UH youre screwed**************..

DO you ever read anything?

Like the back of your drivers license?

It say you must notify the DMV of a change of address,

I have my DL at my brothers address....for two reasons..one i live in Manhattan, so i dont need a car, and I still have my CT DL, if i got my NY DL my car would have to be registered in NY and the i would have to get NY insurance and it would at least double.

And my car would still be parked at his home in CT..so i dont even put 3000 yes 3000 miles a year on the car.

SO YOU DIDNT**************.THEREFORE your screwed!

You gotta pay all the fines....

that wasn't very nice

you couldn've been a little nicer**************
I've paid the fines to the original ticket and reinstated my license. but the police said i don't want to plee guilty because it could lead to 6 more months of suspension. to my knowledge my license was suspended for one day. from the time i was pulled over and arrested and informed of the problem to the following day when i paid the fines and went to the DMV. All i was wondering was is asking for a ticket for not changing my address better than the fines and stuff involved in the suspended license? i'm not a jerk, i follow laws, i wear my seatbelt, i pride myself on being a law abiding citizen, but i do wardrobe for rock and roll tours and i don't live in the same place for very long. i know its all my fault and as you so NICELY put it "screwed" i just don't know what to do, so thanks for your helpful advice.!!!!
