Driving While Suspended + FTA warrant

What is the name of your state? California

If someone is driving with a suspended license and they also have 2 failure to appear warrants, and they go to court on an unrelated matter (in the same county), will they get arrested? How serious is a FTA warrant? This person also has a bench warrant that was issued in October of 2007 but they still have not been jailed. I know the system is totally overloaded and the jails don't have room for traffic violators so I am figuring this is why the person still is out and about. Would appreciate any info and answers you may have.

Quite possibly. It depends on whether anyone has checked this someone for warrants, and whether the warrants were issued locally or are extraditable.

Serious enough for you to go to jail. However, you might just get issued a citation and released.

Sounds like someone needs to take care of a few things.

If this person doesn't take care of these they can find good jobs out of reach, government loans (housing, student, etc.) unavailable, and even welfare and other aid denied to them. No to mention the ugly inconvenience of always wondering if today will be the day the cops will contact the,
