| | Error on the signed notice of correction for my speeding ticket. What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?... California.
I was pulled over awhile ago for speeding. The ticket was for going 45 around a corner were the limit is 25. First of all, I was not going 45, the tires weren't spinning, and I didn't fishtail. I took the turn wide, I was not speeding. Secondly, the officer was parked in a parking lot and did not have the lights of his car on when he assumed I was speeding. I have heard conflicting stories about this and I am still not sure; I heard they had to have their fog lights on atleast.
Furthermore, a week after I got the ticket the officer sent me a notice of correction for the ticket, which changed by birthday from Jan. 23 (which is right) to Dec. 30 (which is wrong). The notice of correction stated that, under penalty of perjury, it was correct and it was signed by the officer. A week after that, I received another notice, changing my DOB back to Jan. 23. I doubt that the ticket will be dismissed because of this error, but will it give me more standing as it proves the officer lied, or was atleast mistaken, and could have mistaken how fast I was going? |

| You can try that, but ultimately the officer was correct at the start ... so it might play against you. The fact that someone may have given him the wrong license printout at the office making him believe he had been in error on the cite proves that a records' clerk fouled up - not him.
