Some websites mentioned the Discovery process is a right of the defendant as a part of the trial procedure. In my case that happened in PA, the officer said he has video record showing my run red light. My question is how can I get a copy of the video record by using my right of Discovery.

Thanks,
Jia

After you plead not guilty and the trial date is set, you file a motion for discovery asking for the videotape.

Note that this process takes time (sometimes up to 2 month), so make sure you file the motion ASAP, and re-schedule the trial if needed. Also, know whom to address the request to - call the court to find out.
