New to breaking the law, I have some questions. I was cited for misdemeanor statute 168.09.1 for expired tabs in Minnesota today, Jan 19 2014. There is no fine ammount listed on the citation. Do I have to pay a fine? If there is a fine and I immediately update my tabs can I request a reduced fine?
I tried looking online for any info, no success there. I called the hotline but it was too soon to request payment info, I need to wait 10 days before my citation is updated into the system. My finances are tight and I need to find out my situation ASAP. Any advice would be helpful, with the exception of captain hindsight comments.
