Fail to yield left turn 21801(a)

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

I got the ticket on a local street at 10:10 a.m. so traffic was at minimum. I stopped on a left turn only lane. There are 3 lanes on the opposing lane to me. There was a blue car driving on the #3 opposing lane and a pick-up truck that was about 4 car lengths behind the blue car. The cop was on the #2 opposing lane several car lengths away from the pick-up truck. I was going to make my turn after the blue car pass so I started edging out but for no reason the blue car started slowing down and he blocked the entrance to the plaza. The pick-up truck reach the blue car and I was stuck in the middle of the opposing lanes. The cop car was still far away but he reached me quick (he wrote he was moving 55 mph) and slammed on his brakes in the side of me. The slamming on the brakes seemed over dramatic because I was already stuck in the middle of the lanes and he was about 7 to 8 car lengths and more then enough time to see me in the stuck in the middle and the blue car blocking the pick-up truck and plaza entrance. The blue car and pick-up truck finally moved and I was pulled over inside the plaza.

I have a feeling I was set up because what looked like the same blue car that blocked the plaza entrance parked in eye range of me in a red zone while the cop was asking for my information. The guy in the blue car was just waiting there with his engine and lights on. I just found that suspicious.

I was just wondering if there is a way to contest this ticket with the information given. I have some other details but I do not want to add more to the post unless asked.

Thanks for any advice that can be given.

Regardless oof what you can, will or won't add, it is your responsibility to ensure that you can cross the opposing lanes of traffic without getting in anyone's way.

Also, if you do choose to fight this, do yourself a favor and don't even bring up the conspiracy theory that you eluded to here when you are in court.

My first thought when I read about the blue car stopped in the red zone was that's probably what I would do were I driving the blue car, as the officer might have a word to say to me as well.
