failure to appearWhat is the name of your state? VIrginia I have a failure to appear for driving on a suspended license. I took care of the license. But a warrant was issued for the Failure to apper. I requested a motion to remove the bench warrant but it was denied and I was told to seek legal counsel. My court date is approaching. Will I go to jail? and what is the fine for failure to appear? | Yes, you could go to jail. Yes, you could be given a fine not only for the insurance but the failure to appear. And yes, you should seek counsel. You've thumbed your nose at the court and they don't like that too much. The best thing you could do now is hire an attorney and let him / her do the talking. Because at this point the court won't want to hear your excuses. |

| I agree. You need legal help. Try the link at the top of this page. If you can't find anybody email me and I can give you a number in Virginia to try. |
