Failure to appearWhat is the name of your state?Texas. I received a letter in the mail stating that there's a warrant for my arrest for for a ticket I didn't pay. The statement reads that the warrant was issued for 1.no seat belt 2. failure to appear. Now I have a total fine of over $300. When I show up to pay this will I be arrested and have to serve time? Why do I have to show up in person? |

| Take it easy, just call the number on your letter ASAP. Tell them what happend and sometimes they will let you pay it. Other time they will make you go to a bail bondsman and post bail for a new hearing. Final advice DO NOT get pulled over or they will take you to jail !!!! |

| What is this "do not get pulled over, you will go to jail" advice, what are they to do...evade/flee when an officer gets within 1/2 mile in code? Contact the courts which issued the notice and ask when your next court date is, show up for it and pay your fines. You may be able to substitute community service or time served (if it comes to that) for any actual monetary exchange. Take care of it. NOW.
