Minnesota - Recently my wife received a ticket for turning left accross
a divided road where she wasn't supposed to turn left. Unfortunately, she
could not see the sign because of a snowbank until she was already into the median. She couldn't back up because there were cars coming. She saw the police officer and pulled over right away. They took her license, and came back with a ticket 15min. later. No explanation - No discussion - Just here it is.
I also noticed that the ticket states that the date was 2/15/04 rather than 2/15/05. Can she fight it on this or would she be better off stating that she was unable to see the sign because of a snowbank?

Thanks in advance

A: The wrong date is a nonessential mistake. If you violate a traffic control device, then you are guilty of violating a traffic control device. Even if....

Cops don't have to explain or discuss traffic tickets.
