Exclamation

i live in indiana. i was ticketed for speeding and am already on a deferral program from a ticket i recieved six months ago. i was clocked going 52 mph in a 30 mph zone. there are two thoughts i have on fighting the ticket. first, the officer did not have me sign the ticket. i've been told that this could make it invalid, but to ask legal consultation. is this true? the second thought is that our city has begun a push-out aiming to "bust" 100 teens a week for speeding, drinking, and/or partying. is this illegal to focus on certain group of people?

Red face

clarification

maybe "invalid" is the wrong word. a frind of mine who has her bachelors in criminal law said that by not have signing the ticket there would be some leeway of working around it in court to get out of it. this is not true?

The ticket still remains enforceable even if you did not sign it.
Ask your friend under what theory would the ticket be unenforceable if it was not signed by the offender?
