Fire Truck Accident/Not directing Traffic

What is the name of your state? GA

I had an accident with a Fire Truck. He was stationary. There was an accident at the intersection I was in. I was trying to steer clear of the traffic coming head on, as there was only ONE turn lane, but THREE lanes were turning right on to the street in which I was sitting. I was concerned that one of the lanes that wasn't supposed to be turning would hit me, so I tried to move over. When I did this, I went in to the truck. It put a dent in my car. Well, I get out of my car and the officer who was there told me to get back in my car and wait for him to come write a report. I mentioned that three lanes of traffic were turning on to the street I was on, and was concerned someone was going to hit me head on. I asked if I could move my car and I was instructed to get in the car and wait. I explained to him this puts me at risk for being hit while in the car, and I was told again to get in the car.

Finally, another officer arrived. When he did, the original officer got in his car, drove towards me and left! It took a good 45 minutes of waiting for another officer to write up the report. During the waiting, firefighters were getting on and off the truck, causing more damage to my car (kept pushing the truck further in to my car).

Had they been directing traffic as they were supposed to have been doing (and the firefighters were telling me they kept asking for this, but the first officer never did anything about getting someone until AFTER my accident), this wouldn't have occured. They didn't start directing the traffic until AFTER my accident. Also, at least in GA, if the car(s) can be moved, then they are to be moved. They wouldn't allow it.

My questions are, 1) Do you think I could get out of this ticket, and 2) Could the county be held responsible for the damages as they wouldn't allow me to move my car and with them getting on and off the truck repeatedly, it was causing more damage to the car?

No.

I suggest you quit trying to find someone else to blame and accept responsibility for your OWN actions!!

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

I just asked a question, and to be rude isn't necessary!

BTW, what are your qualifications for answering my questions?
