| Fleeing Scene of an Accident

I totaled my car by crashing through a guard rail and into a chain link fence one night around 2 am... i told the cops i had been drinking that night but i'm pretty sure i passed the sobriety test, they didn't give me a DUI either so i'm not sure if they included anything about alcohol in their report. the reason i got fleeing is cuz when the cops showed up my roomates ran and i followed them for about half a block then i stopped when i remembered that my name was all over the car and i surrendered peacefully(noted in the report)
basically what i want to know is... what is the most likely scenario if i go to court and just plead guilty? can my license get suspended? is there a possibility that i can get probation?
also... if i were to get a lawyer and plead not guilty, would it be worth it? or would it just mean 5 less hours of community service or 50 bucks less on the fine but an $800 legal fee? |
