I am in Virginia.
If you have a suspended license in VA can you drive with a foreign license?
To be more lucid, the law says you can drive with a foreign license in VA for up to 3 months before you can must get a VA drivers license. If you got your license suspended when you were a minor and you go back to your original foreign country and come back with a newly acquired driver's license from that country, is it legal to drive with that newly acquired license in VA for up to 3 months?

More details would be nice. Is this you?

No, generally you CANNOT drive with a foreign license in most states of the union unless you are a tourist. If you "live" in the state you must be licensed by the state.

And even if you ARE a tourist, if you have a suspended driving privilege you cannot drive under any circumstances unless you wish to get arrested.

If you have a drivers license suspension in VA, then your driving privilege is suspended.

You may not legally drive in VA, or any other state that recognizes that suspension.

If you're suspended in Virginia, you can't drive in Virginia PERIOD. That is for sure. Doesn't matter what crackerjack box you got your license out of

As pointed out, once you establish residency (which you had to do to get a Virginia license to begin with), you're not allowed to drive on your foreign license.

If he did then there would be no need for a state license OR a foreign license. The State Department issues licenses to diplomats.
