What is the name of your state? Tennessee
My friend K was pulled over in November in Tennessee while driving her friend J's car, for a busted tail light. J did not have an insurance card in the car. The officer said that J could send in proof of insurance and proof that the taillight had been fixed, and all would be okay.
So, K told J this and J said he would do it.
Yesterday, months later, my friend K received notice that there is a warrant out for her arrest; J never sent the stuff in, even though he said he had done it. The court date was in January and nobody showed up (K did not know she had to). So, she missed the court date and there is a warrant out for her.
What is K's best course of action? Thanks for the advice --
