I was recently pulled over for (accidentally) cutting across a funeral procession. I was told that i could lose my license and that it was a criminal violation. The officer did not give me a ticket but said that a summons will be mailed to me in the next few days. I've never been pulled over before or had any sort of traffic violation. I'm really worried that my license is going to be suspended and I don't know what my options are. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

If/when you get the citation, come back and let us know?

Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 272, Section 42:
"Whoever willfully interrupts or by fast driving or otherwise in any way disturbs a funeral assembly or procession shall be punished as provided in section forty"
("imprisonment for not more than one month or by a fine of not more than fifty dollars.")
