What is the name of your state? North Carolina
Hello I just received a citation for driving at 86 on a posted speed limit of 65 on a highway. I have had a clean record for last 14 years since I have had a license. What could my options be ? What kind of punishments am I looking at ? I moved to this state around 10 months ago from Maryland and now am a full resident.
Any advice will be welcome
thanks

Plead not guilty and ask the prosecutor if you can plead guilty to a non-moving violation.

Considering your speed, the prosecutor may not want to bargain, but it won't hurt to ask.
