Question

I had to go get an MVR today because a pizza delivery company couldn't get one for me (where I have been driving part time last five months). What did I find?

Apparently my license has been revoked since 4/3/99. I had no idea what-so-ever. I never received any notice in the mail (my old address IS on my license, but it's my aunt's home where I used to live and they always give me my mail) stating such. Why revoked?

Because of a speeding ticket. On 11/29/98 I was pulled over on highway 285 in Roswell doing 85 in a 55. I paid the ticket and thought it was over of course. Until today. Cold shower time! Apparently if you're under 21 (which I was at the time) and get caught doing more than 24 mph over the limit then it's automatic revocation for six months and 4 points on your license. My understanding is in order to get my license back after the six months, I have to pay $200 and take a defensive driving class.

I find it very unusual that I just learned of this today - more than two years after it was officially revoked. In that past two years I have been involved in one accident, never had any problems with insurance, served for jury duty, and PULLED OVER TWICE (each time I assume the officer didn't run my license).

So, I surrendered my license today 4/17.

Do I have any chances of having the charges dropped in court? I mean, it's been more than two years! I really need to continue my part time job. Please help!
