Georgia - Red Light Violation

What is the name of your state? Georgia- I recieved a ticket for running a red light. I don't mind paying the ticket, but don't want the points on my record. Can I claim no low, and if so, will it still go on my record as points? If so, are there any other options available that will keep it off my record?

Traffic school if it is offered in your State.

Leave it alone

Assessing points acts as a deterent to keep careless and reckless drivers from continually ignoring traffic laws.

Running a red light is a very serious infraction that can have dire consequences under the right sequence of events. We (I have a mouse in my pocket) often times need something like that hanging over our heads as a contant reminder that we may lose our license the next time we screw up.

Unless you're already at the point (no pun intended) where your license is in jeopardy with this citation, use the points to your benefit. Wake up and smell the flowers!

In GA you can plead "No Contest" once every five years and no drivers license points will be assessed. The traffic ticket still goes on your record so the insurance company can raise your rates.
