Cool

Urgent help please: going 100 in 65 in indiana

What is the name of your state? Indiana

I was coming back home from long weekend vacation and was running late. At the time I passed a cop car, I was moving fast, but when the cop came behind me I was moving at 65 and kept moving at the same speed. After a mile a lady officer also came on the road and flashed the lights.

I was stopped and given a speeding citation for speeding at 100 in 65 limit. Officer said that I can pay the fine by mail or come to court on due date If I want to contest the charge.

As per the sheet given to me, that fine for moving 31-Over speed is $120. I am ready to pay and avoid future tickets.

When I called the court clerk for confirming the fine amount, she is not ready to believe that I am not asked to appear in court for doing 100 in 65 in Indiana.

I am in a fix and wonder If I should pay by mail or should go to court.

Please help!

Anyone got any example like this one !

I need to understand If I can loose my license in this case ?
or
it is a simple "pay and move on" case ?

I am waiting for valuable help from someone with an experience / example to help me decide the cource of action.
