What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA Is good to request Discovery for speeding ticket in CA? I checked couple of sites on Google and some of them saying it's not a good practice to request Discovery because requesting excessive discovery is almost certainly going to make the prosecutor aggressive towards you and you may lose any element of surprise at trial. Is this true?
