got a ticket while i was pumping gas

What is the name of your state?texas
i was driving down the road on my way to a gas station,i approached a stop sign i did stop but since i did not come to a complete stop because my car was running out of gas it was hesitating.
i pulled into the gas station,as i was walking to pay for my gas ,a police officer walked up to me as i was walking into the store.
the officer said he seen me run the stop sign, but he never sounded his siren or turned his lights on,his vehicle was never around me.
what i want to ask is....?
is there a texas law , prohibiting the officer from writing me a citation on private property.i was never on public road when he approached me on private property.
what law pertains to this situation on private property.
please someone let me know...angieluvsjm@aol.com

Private property is not a safe zone. Nothing else in your post suggests the ticket is not valid and was warranted. I would suggest talking to a local attorney if you wish to fight the ticket. And we don't email responses, we post them hear so hopefully others can learn from them.

No. The fact is, he witnessed your violation on PUBLIC property (the roadway). The fact that you subsequently (immediate or not) entered private property does not prohibit his giving you a ticket.

Oh, and your statement of "i did not come to a complete stop" means you did NOT stop.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

Nope, as others said he could give you a ticket. He was just maybe rude to do it depending on other circumstances.
