Got an under suspension ticket because of court mistake

Ohio.... I was pulled over in Ohio for a non-compliance suspension I was unaware of. It traced back to a traffic ticket in March where I needed to show proof of insurance at court. I did. The court failed to acknowlege it. I went to the courthouse and they made a copy of the insurance info from the prior file. I had the clerk sign the copy also.
I want to move the NEW case be dismissed since it was no fault of mine I recieved this suspension. Is this possible?

How did they fail to acknowledge it?

Also, if your license was suspended at any time, and once you showed proof of insurance, did you pay the reinstatement fee?
