Question

Hear a rummor wondering if it is true??

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Arizona

I heard that a new law went into effect in Arizona stating that an officer can pull you over any time after 11:00pm with no probable cause. Does anyone know if this is true and if so how was this allowed?? Thanks for your help with this question!!!

Not a lawyer nor in Arizona anymore. The state, can pass any laws it wants. It's up to the person who that law was used on to prove it violates their Constitutional secured "rights". Most state's are running night time seat belt campaign's, the old advertised, click it or ticket, but this time we are doing for night time cause our studies show seat belt laws are violated the most at night. Second most traffic citations in most states are civil and not criminal. So the police have more leeway in stopping you for non-criminal reason's and courts also have more leeway in sticking you with a ticket. Hence why tickets are a good revenue source for counties and the state themselves.

I live in AZ, and I've never heard of this. Furthermore, 2-3 pages of several Google searches yielded nothing (except for your thread) to indicate that such a law exists.

An arrest is not permitted based on reasonable suspicion; probable cause is required for an arrest. A traffic stop itself only needs reasonable suspicion. It is true America is becoming like a socialist state. No car on the roads is 100% legal for traffic citation purpose's. Half the time if you get a ticket for other than speeding, the Cop is proving they do have the power to mess with you!

I like the U.K, Police are more educated and polite. They also to provide a form explaining the reason for the stop directly to you. So they can think of a reason after the fact and twist things to fit their reasonable suspicion.

Delta will take you there with daily flights at least 8 times a day.

Plan now to get the best rates.
