help i may have hit a man

I was stoped waiting to turn right looking left I'm watching the traffic i see its clear and start to go then hit my brakes I see a man I dont know if i hit him or scared him and he fell.The cops kept telling me to do 5 things at once and dirr. people asking me things.And i had my 4yr old son.they asked things like how fast was i going. i said i didnt know i just started to go so they said o.k. 2 or 3 mph thats not what i said. help do i pay the ticket or go to court

Take a deep breath. Did you feel a thud? If you didn't, you didn't hit him. Does he have bruises on the whole side where you would have hit him? If he doesn't, you probably didn't hit him.

Okay, if you believe you can fight this ticket, etc and avoid a future possible lawsuit by the guy you supposedly hit, then you should fight this ticket.

But may I suggest you at least speak with an accident attorney in your state to help you.
