HELP--Reopen case

What is the name of your state? CA

Got a ticket for "failure to stop for flashing red light". June 1, 2005. Been on that particular road of and on for the past couple years and have not seen it. Have not had a ticket in many years, and since this was something that I had not done intentionally, I pleaded with the officer for a warning.

That was when I decided that I am going to fight the ticket and looked at the www.occourts.org site to learn how I could do that. If I intented to fight the ticket, posting the bail amount till the case was decided, was what I unerstood was what needed to be done. So I went on the pay by email link and paid the bail amount. Next time I go to further investigate how to fight the charge by sending "Trail by Written Declaration" some where it says that do not pay by email. Well completely confused by now and getting anxious as well as frustrated with in complete information on their site, I call their help line and am told that my case has been closed since I paid the bail amount and that to repone the case I need to request the Judge do so. There is also no way I can even do traffice school to get the ticket off my record.

I am so worried since this will increase my entire family's insurance cost if somehow I cannot fix this problem I created. I need help if there is a way I can get a Judge to reopen this case.

Please tell me what my opions are.
