Help stop/stand CA violation..NOT guilty

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? CA

This might be a long story but please please help me. Right now I'm not in US. I went back to my home country since April. Thay's why I have no idea what to do and to get my problem solved.

Lately, my friend told me that I got violation notice around June about stop/stand violation occuring on Mar20,04. Actually, I didn't drive the car on that day because I was in New York. The current owner (buyers) drove it. Because buyers and I made a deal before I transferred car to them that they could use the car during 13-21 Mar during I was in New York. In return, I could use car during 22-31 Mar 2004 when I came back to Los Angeles. The problem is on the violation day I didn't drive the car but the registration name was mine. On certificate of tiltle, I transferred the ownership on Mar23,04.

What should I do?? I don't want to pay what I haven't done. I contacted them many times and they seem ignore about this. Actually, we were really nice couple and we were becoming good friends.

Thank you in advance,
Goldducks

You need to learn the laws of this country. You are responsible for the ticket. Your Car, Your Title, Your Registration.

In fact, you are so astonishingly correct in this matter, it will not surprise us one bit if you are offered a generous settlement, because, by golly, that’s just how it should be.
