How to get a case re-opened from 9 yrs ago...

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Nc

My speeding ticket happened in south carolina while i had a nc license...i got caught speeding 20 miles over the speed limit..so instead of goin to court i paid the ticket...after i paid it nc took my license because i went 20 miles over the speed limit out of state regardless of the fact that it was my first ticket..later i got a moving violation because i didnt know my l's were suspended and they added on more time..got one more moving violation right before it was over because my friend hot got beaten up at a club and i had to come get him..pulled over for a tail light etc...ne way i was finally eligible for a hearing this year but they called it off because back in 2000 i tried to buy beer underage and i just paid it a month ago...i never knew that goes under abc laws therefore that added another year on to my suspension..the hearing officer said id have to wait til 2011 or some how miraculously get my very first ticket fixed from way back in 2000 that happened out of state...thats why i ask does ne know how to get a case from so long ago re-opened..if at all possible???i mean money isnt the issue..i guess finding an attorney..or maybe i could do it...any info would be great..ive been with out my license for 9 years now and its a killer....What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

You need an attorney.

You would not be in a pickle if you had

Promptly resolved your alcohol charge.

AND

Most importantly - If you had not driven with a suspended licence.

There is really no getting around that.

Getting a lawyer MIGHT help - but there are statutory penalties for driving suspended and I just don't see how you will waive them.

Not knowing of a suspension (ignorance) is not a defense.

Nor is justification (friend needed you).

Get a lawyer and figure it out, and have him with you in 2011.
