How long speeding ticket is valid?

What is the name of your state? New York
I live in Brooklyn. In August of last year I got speeding ticket on highway.
I pleaded not guilty and was assign court day. After that my appointment in court was rescheduled three times and now set for this December. Is my ticket is still valid? For how long I can be liaible for this traffic violation?
Is any way I can avoid liability for this violation?

Get an attorney if you expect any chance of beating it. The ticket is still valid.

There are some posts on here about the NY speedy trial. Do a search and then file a motion for dismissal.
