Identical judgements for identical citations?

I was a visitor form out of state and was following a local from San Ramon, CA. Our egress from a gas station was blocked and I followed her out of an exit she doesn't normally use. She made a u-turn and I followed her. A policeman gave each of us a citation. She went to court and provided the judge an explanation that the no u-turn sign was low and its view blocked by another vehicle prohiting us from seeing it. She also had a diagram of the station layout with a depiction of the tanker truck blocking the egress. The policeman admitted to the judge that the sign is low and the judge still found her guilty but suspended her bail. I have a copy of her diagram and judgement. Because her judgement was suspended, should I expect the same ruling? I am filing a Trial by Written Declaration.
Should I reference her case as evidence?
