What is the name of your state? MICHIGAN
I was pulled over TWICE for improper plates and no proof of insurance. the first time I got away with it, but the second time I got 2 tickets.
the improper plates was a misdimeanor, and I was never arrested or had a court date, I just had to pay it. I have been on probation for a year now, and I also had a misdimeanor ticket for failing to report an accident. Isnt a misdimeanor violation of probation? and why didnt I even get a court date?
I have got 7 points on my license since I was put on probation. So isn't breaking ANY state or local law a violation of Probation?

got to fix it

Dude, you need to fix this stuff. One day you may need insurance yourself, if something happens to you or you hit and injure someone. And proper plates should have paid themselves over many times by now :)

As for the ticket, take a close look and the trial date is probably right on it. You can try to request a re-trial if it's not and you never got a notice in the mail.

P.S. if you do fix the problems with plates and insurance, you may also have a much better shot at winning the case
