Interstate communication of moving violations

What is the name of your state? Rhode Island

I have incurred a moderately serious moving violation in neighboring Mass. I could fight it and stand good chances of winning, but that's an inconvenience and I would rather pay the fine if it ends there.

How do Mass and RI communicate in terms of moving violations as long as you pay the ticket within the time alloted? If it does affect insurance etc, perhaps I am better off to fight it.
