Invalid Court DateI recently got a speeding ticket from a New Jersey State Police officer. I intended to plea not guilty and so I made some arrangement with my employer to take a day off on the court date written on the ticket. When I called the court, the court clerk told me that the court date was a holiday and schedule my court appearence on another date. Now I have to make another work arrangement in order to go to court. I think it is not fair. Any suggestion? |

| Yes, show up on the scheduled day. Court resets and continuances are not sufficient to warrant a waiver of the ticket.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |

| What makes me mad is that why didn't the officer know it was a holiday? I thought that the police combines all tickets issued by the officer on a single court date. If they plan their court date, they should have known. |

SuggestionPlead guilty and pay the fine by mail and avoid going to court if you can.How do you intend to beat a speeding ticket? Also if they reschedule your court appearence you should be notified in writing.Otherwise show up for court. |
