Exclamation

Hello. I am a resident of NJ, and was just pulled over in NJ for going 90 in a 65 supposedly. A plain clothed cop in a plain vehicle pulled me over. My radar detector did not go off at any time. He was not pacing me either because there were several cars btwn us and by the time he was actually behind me, I was already slowing down to get on an on-ramp. I explained to him that I was in a rush bc I had to get to a high school by a certain time or else I would not get my new job. This is very true. I have not been employed for awhile now. The reason I did not argue with him about my speed is that I know it is not good to get a cop mad (they always HAVE to be right) and bc I happen to have a suspended license (and this is my second offense, which I am aware means 1-5 days in jail and a huge fine). He wasn't able to look this up bc he was undercover. Furthermore, he had no summonses on his person to write out to me. But he made it clear that they will be coming to me in the mail. I am about to begin a new job for the first time in months. I am poorer than poor. I made slightly too much last year to be able to get a public defender...even if I could afford one at this point. And I am still paying on my last fine. Does anyone with legal experience have advice to put my mind somewhat at rest? Or am I just completely @#$%ed all around?

Your last sentence says it all.
