judge said that that my daughter would not be able to drive for 30 days. we pleaded no contest. when he sent the ticket into the state, they said she could not drive for 1 year or until she is 16 years old, which every is longer. the judge admitted to us that he was unaware of this fact and he would have held her dl for 30 days without sending it to the state. we did not become aware that she couldnot drive for one year, until 30 days after the plead. we could have appealed the case up to 10 days after hearing.
have her civil rights been violated? can a judge be sued? can the city attorney be sued? we are not after money, however, money makes a good point. we do need her to be able to drive. we live on a farm 3 miles from town. i am disable, and mom works. i have to take her every where. can we do anything?
