What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

This is for a speeding ticket. I did the trial by declaration, and received a notice by mail on 8/13/11 that the TBD trial was on 6/13/11 and I was found guilty. A blank TR-220 (Request for Trial De Novo) form was included.

However, the online status on the website says, since 8/15/11 or so:

Case Status: Dismissed
Disposition: Case dismissed on 06/13/2011
Last Action: Court trial
Last Action/
New Appearance Date: 07/08/2011 in 064
At the bottom: This citation is not eligible for any online transaction.
I live a couple of hours drive from LA, so without going in person, is there any way to clarify what the status is before the Trial de Novo deadline on 9/1/11?

Thanks for your help!
