I was recently involved in a hit and run accident. I was unable to get a license number and a good discription of the car. There were no injuries and the only damage to my car was the side view mirror. I was unsure weather I should report this or not, since I did not have much information to give to the officer. I though about it and after 2 hours decided the best thing to do was to report it. After I filled out the report, the officer told me I was being reported to the DMV for leaving the scene of an accident. I live in New York State. Could you please tell me what the consequences of this charge is? Will I have my license suspended, will my insurance increase ...etc?

Thank you for any information you can give me.

Sounds like more to this story than we are hearing.

Did the 'other' driver might have filed a report from the scene of the accident, making you the one who fled. If this is true, you are in deep 'do'!

Sounds to me like you need to get a lot of facts straight and be able to defend your claim that you were the innocent party who was hit and the 'other' driver left the scene.

And, yes, this 'crime' can hit you pretty hard. Court costs, legal fees, insurance hit, etc.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
