Question

Legal speed bumps


NY. The town owns the road and to get in our driveway is a nightmare, so we would like to know if speed bumps are leagal. we want to stop the speeders so we can get in and out of our driveway safely. there are kids here, and someone is going to get killed

Speed bumps are mostly ineffective for the intended audience and aggravate everyone else.

Call your local police frequently and ask them to enforce the speed.

Call the highway dept and ask them to do a study.

Keep calling until you get results - squeeky wheel gets oiled.

NY. Thanks but we tried that. The police told us they do not have the man power to patrol our street, and as for the board we are going to attend a meeting next week. there is a huge boulder that block alot of our vision so we are going to ask for a safety project to try and get something done. this is so dangerous, not to add it is also a bus stop that is an accident waiting to happen.
