What is the name of your state? Florida

Hey everyone, got a question.
I got pulled over back on 5/31/04 for driving with a suspended liscence (cop ran my plate i guess) and I happen to be considered a Habitual Traffic Offender, I had my liscence suspended due to DUI. However the ticket never made it into the system, after a week, than 2 weeks, than a month went by, nothing, no notice to appear in court. I felt as though I was blessed lol, talking to my lawyer and he states due to the circumstances at the time there may have beena possibility of me going to jail due to my record, but the ticket NEVER showed up in the system, and someone there told me they have like 180 days to file the ticket until its voided. Well, I noticed many traffic lawyer mail coming in, so i checked the net and sure enough i have a court date in 2 weeks (have yet to receive the documentation from the courts though) and apparently the ticket was filed on 3/1/05, thats way more than 6 months, I was wondering if anyone knew the law on this , and that the incident was 5/31/04 and the ticket was just filed on 3/1/05, and if it is in fact void after 180 days. That seems like quite a long time to be doing "spring cleaning" with tickets lol. I was pulled over in Coral Springs, FL. btw. Thanks!!
