What is the name of your state? Florida

I just recived a letter in the mail informing me that my license is suspended for 12 points in 12 months from back in 2001!
Can they do that? Is this legal? What can I do to either defend this, or to get my license back. I have to get to work... hard to do that without a car.

The tickets were 4 tickets for unlawful speeding. One ticket was from Georgia, has no case number, and will not because it was dicharged. (thats another case/problem)

Regardless, I am out a license for 30 days.
Any help would be appreciated!

yes they can. 12 points in 12 months is serious. here in Ca, 4 points in 1 year calls for a suspension.

Just don't drive in the meantime, if you get caught, you may have to do some jailtime.

just wait it out.
