Limitations to a summons

The name of the state is N.Y
Hi, I am a canadian citizen and accused of an
Alleged traffic violation in the state of N.Y going back since 1994. I have no idea where this is coming from i never received a ticket.. I never received any notice from any us departement etc...
Is there a limit to a summons or a traffic violation where after a number of years it is null?
what Is the best way to resolve this issue?


i would appriciate a response asap.
