Louisianna Ticket

All: I am from VA, ticketed in Louisiana - Jefferson County, Kenner Municipality.

I was driving in the middle lane of a three lane highway (I-10) and a guy in the fast lane blew by me (my vehicle was obscured by his) while we were passing a local police office.

He pulled us both over and ticketed me for 88mph in a 65mph zone.

I informed him that I was not the idividual that was speeding, he laughed and ticketted us both...

32-cannot read the section - Speeding
32-58 COMV (careless operation of motor vehicle)

Do points transfer from LA to VA?
If you do not pay your fine, does LA transfer the warrant to VA?

Any help is greatly appreciated...

Dallas

heh

kind of same thing happened to me and Im wondering if points and warrants transfer also, If your speeding ticket can be paid by mail in fine, i heard that you should send them a check for the fine ammount and an additional quarter, so if the fine is 100.00 send them a check for 100.25 They will take the money in and say that you pay it but they cannot process the ticket without refunding you your money, and they will not pay 37 cents to send a check for a quarter!

Or, they just send the whole thing back to you with a letter highlighting the fact that you were expected to pay the amount listed - not more, not less; and that there is now a warrant for your arrest for failing to appear and pay the fine.
