[MA] Lidar ticket says "Estimated"

What is the name of your state?Ok, got an 82 MPH in a 65 MPH lidar ticket. In the box check-off area, the following boxes are checked off:

Posted - Lidar - Estimated

The boxes not checked off:
Not Posted - Clocked - Radar

Now, if it's a lidar ticketed, why would it say Estimated instead of Clocked? Is that correctly filled out? Is only Radar considered "clocked"? Estimated sounds to me like room for much error. Suggestions and/or help are appreciated.

Cheers!

The terms may be different in MA, but here is my take ... "Clocked" may refer to timing between two points (using a timing device to measure the time taken to get to the two points then using math to determine speed). And "Estimated" likely refers to the method of condcuting a visual estimation of the speed and then using the radar or lidar device to confirm that visual estimation.

So, since it is likely he estimated the speed in addition to using the lidar, and that the street was posted with the speed limit, he checked those boxes.
